Poseidon - the GameGuard solution

English | Bahasa Indonesia | Português

Some servers which use GameGuard (such as pRO Sakray, inRO, bRO and idRO[FreeServer]) cause bots to disconnect after 30 seconds. Poseidon is the solution to this problem.

To use Poseidon, you must have VisualKore 1.6.6 or OpenKore 1.6.6 or later.

To use Poseidon, follow the instructions on this page carefully.

Update your server list

You must update your server list for all this to work properly.

In OpenKore, do: In VisualKore, do:
Download the latest tablepack and extract servers.txt to your tables folder. You don't have to do anything in VisualKore. VisualKore will automatically upgrade your server list.

Start Poseidon

In OpenKore, do: In VisualKore, do:

If you're using version under 2.x,
Go to your OpenKore folder and click on start-poseidon.bat

If you're using version 2.x,
Go to your OpenKore folder and click on start-poseidon.exe

Click on Start Poseidon in your VisualKore start menu.

The following window will appear:

Create an XML account file

  1. Create the folder data in your Ragnarok Online client's folder. For example, if your Ragnarok Online client is installed in C:\Program Files\Gravity\RagnarokOnline, then create the folder C:\Program Files\Gravity\RagnarokOnline\data
  2. Open Notepad, or any text editor you prefer.
  3. Copy and paste the following into Notepad:
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="euc-kr" ?>
    <clientinfo>
        <servicetype>brazil</servicetype>
        <servertype>primary</servertype>
        <extendedslot></extendedslot>
        <connection>
            <display>Poseidon Server</display>
            <desc>None</desc>
            <address>127.0.0.1</address>
            <port>6900</port>
            <version>1</version>
            <registrationweb>http://www.openkore.com</registrationweb>
        </connection>
    </clientinfo>

  4. Save it as PoseidonRO.xml in the data folder which you created in step 1. For example, if your Ragnarok Online client is installed in C:\Program Files\Gravity\RagnarokOnline, then save the file as C:\Program Files\Gravity\RagnarokOnline\data\PoseidonRO.xml
    Make sure you have selected "All Files" in the "Save as type:" drop down box.

Create a batch file

  1. Open Notepad again.
  2. Copy and paste the following into Notepad:
    ragexe.exe 1rag1 /account:PoseidonRO.xml

  3. Save the file as StartRO.bat in the folder where your Ragnarok Online client is installed. For example, if your Ragnarok Online client is installed in C:\Program Files\Gravity\RagnarokOnline, then save the file as C:\Program Files\Gravity\RagnarokOnline\StartRO.bat
    Make sure you have selected "All Files" in the "Save as type:" drop down box.

You now have a data folder and the file StartRO.bat in your Ragnarok Online folder:

Start the Ragnarok Online client

  1. Double click on StartRO.bat

  2. When the Ragnarok Online client asks you to select Poseidon Server, click OK.

  3. Enter a random username and password and click Login. It does not matter what you fill in, anything is OK.

  4. Continue until you are logged in.

You are not supposed to do anything when you are logged in. Keep Poseidon running, and keep your Ragnarok Online running, but don't do anything else!

Start OpenKore/VisualKore

You can now start OpenKore/VisualKore. Login with OpenKore/VisualKore as usual. Remember, keep Poseidon and your Ragnarok Online client running!
